Buddha,
Yo!
By Gilbert Gonzalez
Prince Siddhartha, son of a king
His life was easy, and full of bling
His father kept, kept him at home,
ÔCause a wise man said, if he suffered heÕd roam,
But still he went out, and saw an old man,
Saw a sick guy and a funeral band
He saw a poor monk, with peace in his eyes,
Siddhartha had to leave for the very first time.
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, yo!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
He brought us peace of mind, mind.
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, yo!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
He brought us peace of mind, mind.
Siddhartha spent years, wandering where ever,
He couldnÕt believe we had to suffer forever,
He became an ascetic, a man alone,
He tried everything, not eating anything,
He found no answers, till finally,
He was so jaded, he meditated under a tree,
He sat down, down, down down,
Until an answer to suffering was found
And he became
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, yo!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
He brought us peace of mind, mind.
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, yo!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
He brought us peace of mind, mind.
Siddhartha Guatama, the Enlightened One,
He taught the Four Noble Truths, the Eight-fold
Path and the Middle way to everyone,
Everyone suffers, we suffer Ôcause we want
things,
To get rid of suffering, get rid of wanting,
Years later King Asoka liked what he heard,
He sent missionaries everywhere to spread the
word,
Now people are praisinÕ, Ôcause BuddhaÕs so
amazinÕ,
Minds are awakinÕ, and people are sayinÕ,
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, yo!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
He brought us peace of mind, mind.
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, yo!
Buddha, Buddha, Buddha, oh!
He brought us peace of mind, mind.
SufferingÕs gone (Yeah, yeah, yeah,)
SufferingÕs gone (Yeah, yeah, yeah,)
(Yeah, yeah, yeah,)
ItÕs
gone (Yeah,
yeah, yeah,)
(Yeah, yeah, yeah,)
(Yeah, yeah, yeah,)
SufferingÕs gone
